National Night Out 2008 |
National Night out has another year in Carlsbad under its belt. With a total of 34 block parties, many returning from last year, we can call it a success, with twice as many participants as last year. The Police, sheriff officers and CSO’s were out to meet with the home owners and talk to the groups about the progress being made though the Wise Eyes program, answer any questions and just get to know the people in that area.
Also out and about were the EMTS and Firefighters. Getting to know the people and making a big splash with the kids by showing them how the Ambulance works and explaining the fire trucks.
With the continuing success of the National Night Out program, The Carlsbad Coalition is striving to make a difference in Carlsbad. The increase by half over last years participants just shows that the community as a whole is helping to make Carlsbad a stronger, safer, wiser community. Some stuck it out through the rain and dark, so we hope you enjoy the photos
